Frequently asked questions
The criticism is rightly directed against the neoliberal logic of “every man for himself”.
But environmental education and citizen participation are the levers for rebuilding the collective.
TREEZ CO²e acts in conjunction with public policies, by involving communities: trail clubs, schools, festivals, local businesses…
These are not solitary acts, but dynamics of belonging and collective awareness.
The TREEZ CO²e project never aims to make people feel guilty, but to make them understand, and then act freely.
Users do not “pay” to absolve themselves; they learn to measure, to situate themselves, to link their mobility to a concrete ecosystem.
Donations are voluntary, based on solidarity and proportionate, and benefit actions that improve common goods (water, forests, biodiversity).
The issue is not about buying a “right to pollute”, but about reclaiming collective responsibility through thoughtful individual action.
TREEZ CO²e operates outside of carbon markets. No credits or financial products are issued or resold. Contributions go directly to non-commercial projects: naturalist associations, educational programs, and local restoration initiatives. Financial transparency is complete, and each “FORREST TONE” remains symbolic, never speculative.
“Green capitalism” transforms living things into marketable assets; TREEZ CO²e does exactly the opposite:
It decommodifies the act of contribution;
It reinforces the value of the human and territorial link;
He puts pedagogy before economics.
It's a strategy of cultural antidote to consumerism: measure in order to reduce better, not to redeem oneself.
